HAVING AN ANIMAL COMPANION CAN HAVE A MASSIVE POSITIVE EFFECT ON ANYONE, ESPECIALLY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WHO HAS FACED TRAUMA OR INJURY.
Service Dogs which are specially bred and trained play an enormous role in the lives of our injured and disabled. Although, we do work with those in need to access “Service Dogs”, our K-9 Companions program is not associated with “Service Dogs” per se.
OUR “COMPANION DOGS” ARE MEANT TO BRING HAPPY AND HEALTHY FRENCH BULLDOGS AND CURRENT/RETIRED/FORMER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TOGETHER TO SHARE THE SPECIAL BOND OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP.
Working together with Dr. Aaron Blivens of the South Buffalo Animal Hospital in Las Vegas, The Wounded Blue makes available to qualified current and former Officers, female French Bulldogs approximately two years of age who are in need of a “forever home.” These loving and intelligent dogs are not only beautiful and incredibly popular pets, they are wonderfully social and friendly.
THERE ARE CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE MET PRIOR TO A “MATCH” BEING MADE.
All potential participants in the program will be advised as to the special needs of these amazing animals and be vetted by Dr. Blivens to make sure that there is a good “fit” for both animal and its new human.
All of these dogs are bred in Las Vegas and it is the responsibility of the recipient of the dog to make the trip to Las Vegas to meet their new “friend” and transport them home.
